Dear Santa,
This year I've been busy!
Last Tuesday I set ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) phoxxe's puppy on fire (-66 points). In October I farted in an elevator (-6 points). In January I saved a busload of nuns in Angola (326 points). Last Wednesday I gave grayhawkfh a Dutch Oven (-10 points). Last Thursday I pushed keldi in the mud (-17 points).
Overall, I've been nice (227 points). For Christmas I deserve a Nintendo Wii!

There is a young man looking for a full time job while taking a semester off of college. He worked with me for 2 summers as an intern doing desktop support. He is very smart and picks up new tasks quickly, and is very fit and active.

Yep!!,
theip79 and I got married tonight at 5:00 pm in Gambril State park in frederick MD. My Mom is a minister for our church and performed the ceremony. Our immediate Families where in attendance. A big Wedding reception/party that all of you will be invited to is in planning for Novemberish.

So I got a verizon RAZR for my bday. Its cool phone but since verizon wants you to use all their services the hobbled all the coolest features. I could not copy files to and from the phone via bluetooth or through the usb cable. The only uses for its bluetooth is connecting it to the headset to syncing you contacts. I was not happy. After some digging I found that the older firmware left the Bluetooth feature enabled. I found a walkthrough that lets you install other firmwares on the phone unlocking those features but it also lost some other newer features on the phone. Well I downgraded the firmware anyway and it worked like a charm. I could now download my pics and vids and upload mp3 to use as ringtones. None of the feature I lost really mattered to me so i was happy. Then I found comment in then article saying that of you went from the old firmware ver .02 to the newest .04 skipping .03 in between the bluetooth feature still worked and you got full functionality. I found the latest firmware and loaded it up. No problems worked just as claimed. So now I have the best of both Revs.

some of the software required was hard to find and it must me done on a PC. But once done the feature worked on the mac too. If you want to try this on your Verizon Razr but can't find all the files or programs let me know. |

Well dad is set to be released from the hospital Friday. He has been progresing very quickly since the sedation was lifted last week. Last week he could barely stand up and now he is on the tread mill and stationary bike and walking wround the burn unit. Thanks again for all the prayers and good thoughts! |

Mom is doing really well. She is healing really fast. Dad is still in ICU at the burn center. He his progressing as expected. He is still heavily sedated and unconscious most of the time. The docs want to perform a tracheotomy to make him more comfortable since he will need another week or two of assisted breathing while his lungs are clearing. There was very little damage to his lungs but he inhaled a lot of smoke, its going to take along time to clear it out. All of his burns are 2nd degree except 2 small patches on his shoulder that are third. The doctors now want to perform skin grafts for those as they are deeper that the originally thought. All in all the are expecting a full recovery but he will be in the hospital for at least a month.
Work on the house is progressing very quickly. They have started tearing out carpet and drywall to prevent mold and mildew from spreading and recovering furniture and stuff that can be cleaned and restored.

To keep you all informed I will use this page to give you any new info I get.
On Sunday Morning sometime around 1:00 my parents house caught fire. My parents where injured escaping from the house. Mom and dad both received 2nd degree burns. Mom on her forearms and spots on her face and may be released as soon as this weekend. Dad has burns on both arms including his shoulders and some on his back and face as well. Dad is also suffering from smoke inhalation injuries. The doctors are more worried about his lungs then his burns but they do expect him to recover. It will be slow and painful tho. The Docs are keeping him sedated until his lungs get better.
The house is severely damaged but the insurance company said they will be able to renovate it.
We did lose the cats Chili and China in the fire to smoke inhalation.
The office was mostly saved and has been moved to temporary office so my parents 20 employees still have jobs.
On a happier note my sister gave birth to her first son Sunday night night @ 8:20 pm. He is 21 ΒΌ in. 8 lbs 12 oz. Mom and baby are doing well.
As for me I am emotionally exhausted but I am still going strong thanks to Erin being by my side through it all.
I will post more info in this journal as I get it to keep you all informed. I will probably not have time to respond to calls or emails. Your prayers and well wishes are welcome. Thanks. |

I had a vision of the way communication could possibly evolve in th future.
I was having a conversation with my coworker 10 ft. away from me and the only thing heard in the office was the clickity clack of keyboards. Then it hit me. Soon all communication will be IM style. We will carry PDA's or IM only phones that use local area networks to talk to the guy on the train next to you as well as the internet to talk to someone across the sea. Eventually we will loose the ability to speak at all and the world will be silent less the clicking of the keyboard. We will spend so much time listening to the clickity clack of keyboards we will be able to translate the words from the sounds. Not to long after that we will stop reading all together and communicate with clicks only. Then we will have finally evolved to to he level of dolphins for they are more advanced that we and have already evolved past the use computers and developed the clickity clack language.

Nope, it's Friday! For me...... According to ironkite's entry on the Relative Days of the Week.
You see I am only working Monday, Tuesday, and Friday this week. So Monday is Monday but Tuesday is Friday and Friday is Friday. I have 2 Fridays this week! WooHoo! So since I am not working Wednesday and Thursday they become Saturday and Sunday respectively. Now if I was working Wednesday this week as well then Monday is still Monday and Tuesday becomes Wednesday and Wednesday becomes Friday. Now since I only have Thursday off in the middle of the week it becomes Sunday because Sunday supersedes Saturday and Friday is still Friday because Friday supersedes Monday.
Confused?
Good! Me too! I am just glad it Friday! |

OMG! He's alive!
Yes I am alive and still raging at M$.
I am going to see a friend in Salisbury MD this weekend. Now I know how to get to Salisbury but not to my friends house, so I decide to use the internet to get driving directions. Now my friend sad that Mapquest does not give proper directions to her house so I decide to user yahoo and MSN. First I try yahoo and I get a set of directions with 15 turns, and a 2:47 trip. Sounds good to me.
Now on to MSN. For the same addresses I get 71 turns and a total trip time of 3:17!! More proof the M$ makes everything more complicated, more painful, and take longer! |
